Is There Something Evil in My House?
Posted On: December 6, 2023

Hello! (First time posting but I'd love to hear peoples opinions!) My partner & I moved into our flat earlier this year.

It is a block of flats converted from an old bath house, built in the late 1800s (I believe it was the first / oldest building on the street).

I have never been paranoid or scared of the supernatural but definitely believe in it, a few random, weird, unexplainable experiences as a child/teen.

My partner does NOT “believe in ghosts” and thinks I'm crazy.

When we first moved in, I had a strange few episodes of being really paranoid of the window in our bedroom.

It probably does sound crazy but I would jerk out of my sleep heart beating / shouting at the window near our bed, and hiding under the covers like I didn't want to look at it.

We constantly have the usual random footsteps / creaking noises / doors opening on their own (btw there are no other flats above us) but blame it on the fact the building is stupidly old and on the sea front (U-K = windy).

I've always felt slightly creeped out being on my own in the flat, but never felt genuine fear or malevolent energy.

A few months into our tenancy we got our pup and as soon as he arrived here he will jump up out of dead sleep barking and growling from the back of his throat at something he can see.

Being more scared of waking the neighbours than ghosts, we instantly try to shut him up but nothing will soothe or distract him! It seems to be more frequent the older he gets, almost like he is more and more aware of it.

Because it was night time and very dark I assumed he could see a fly or something that we couldn't, but now he's been reacting in the daytime I am genuinely lost at an explanation.

This is the same dog that will not bark, bite or snap at anyone (despite being a Daxie lmao), it really is out of character for him.

We got the puppy cam to watch him whilst we left the house and I managed to catch his one night, I haven't looked at it since.
