1967: Brixham Cone Shaped UFO
The year is 1967, the place, at Brixham, Devon, England. A cone shaped UFO was witnessed by eight coast guards. The object hovered and slowly rotated during that time. The incident lasted over one hour.
On April 28th, 1967, at about 11:30 hours, the witness, Coast Guard Brian Jenkins, observed the following through binoculars:
“I could see that the thing was shaped like a cone with the sharp end pointing upward. It was white and shining brightly. It seemed as if it were made of glass or highly polished metal. Near the bottom there was a triangular - shaped opening or door with a white rim on the top that reflected a lot of sunlight. The bottom was crinkled, very white, and seemed to consist of strips of metal hanging.”
Jenkins contacted the RAF station at Mount Batten, Plymouth, who said they would contact the Ministry of Defense in London.
At about 12:40 hours, an unknown conventional aircraft approached the UFO to investigate. Both the UFO and the unknown aircraft were lost in the clouds.
The RAF advised that they had no knowledge of any aircraft or UFO.
A spokesman for the MoD suggested that the object may have been 'something like the reflection of car headlights or some sort of meteorological phenomena.'
Are we to believe that eight trained observers from the Coast Guard cannot tell the difference between an object floating in the sky for over sixty minutes and car headlight reflections? As per usual, the official explanation is what sticks.
