I have been following this topic since watching Strange Universe as a kid in the 90s. As an adult I would periodically check in on the topic but otherwise just go about my life without ever thinking about it. My Bigfoot encounter in December

Back in December of last year, I spent a few days at my sister's in rural Arkansas for the holidays. On the 28th, I went for a nature hike and happened upon a quaint little glade on the edge of the Ouachita River where it was a particularly tranquil shade of blueish-green. I analyzed the comments (free text fields) that captured the witness accounts in the NUFORC database of over 80,000 sightings. The structured data was more or less insignificant and I found no real signal there. The free text field however, provide some interesting results. I first looked at what the distribution of colors mentioned in the comments. The colors mentioned most frequently in the comments are, in order:. Orange: 8,917 mentions. White: 8,131 mentions.
