The most logical answer: They are here to eat, sleep, poop, and reproduce, just like every thing else on planet Earth.

All the silly sounding tin foil hat theory's out there are doing nothing to help the actual scientific study of what appears to be a real life highly intelligent and fascinating type of primate that is a kind of "Person" of the forest.

It makes the most logical sense that they are just large predators who were forged in the harshness of the last ice age..

Same as all the gigantic sized mammals of the time.

Bigfeet would not have looked so large back then when everything was supersized along side of them. 

In fact they could likely have been prey for large cave bears and saber toothed cats.

Prehistoric humans had short life spans with intense spiritual beliefs and would have been believers in some kind of afterlife, very fearless and brave compared to us now.

With their sharp ranged weapons, murderous mindset and living in tight knit groups it would have been wise for Bigfeet who probably lived (and still do) in small family sized groups to avoid humans as much as possible.

I'm sure they saw humans in large groups hunting mammoths and other huge and very dangerous game and figured Man was not to be messed with.

So they most likely avoided Humans at all costs with few exceptions.

Our Short human life spans, strong beliefs in an after life and fearlessness still persisted up until the 1900's and at that point our weapons had become much more dangerous.

So it makes sense that we would have rarely ran into these smart and cautious beasts because they knew better.

Now with modern humans being mostly Godless, long lived, weaker mentally and much more fearful of everything Bigfeet are it seems slowly learning that we are not the super predators of the olden days and they have the courage to eat our garbage, live stock, pets and even us on occasion.

Combine our recent weak dispositions, population explosion, expansion into previously wild areas and the large amount of garbage and food we leave around us.

It makes perfect sense that encounters are becoming more and more common.

Bigfeet are most likely not magical, spiritual, mythical protectors of the wilderness or any other silly new age Woo Woo that you hear nowadays. 

Let's break down some of the arguments put forth:.

"Bigfoot sightings often take place alongside UFO sightings. 

So they must be Aliens".

If aliens are actually real and are abducting cattle and Humans like we are supposedly experiencing these days it makes perfect sense that they would have an interest in doing the same to Bigfoot creatures too. 

So then it also makes sense why so many people claim to see them at the same time as UFO's.

NOT because they are aliens like some say.

My logic points mostly to the theory that they are are simply smart, hairy, smelly and dangerous beasts that aliens take an interest in and nothing more.

I don't see an alien race who can traverse the cosmos or jump through dimensions being large harry mammals who smell like a barnyard and run across roads in front of traffic. 

Sounds kind of silly to me. Buy hey, that's just my opinion.

"So Why Don't We Almost Never Catch Them on Trail Cams?".

Because like all the other animals that we actually DO get on trail cams, they can clearly see the IR light emitting from those devices.

How many trail cam pics do you see with the animals looking right at the camera when the pic is taken?.

Yeah, LOTS of them.

Combine that with a bigfoot intelligence and Bigfeet probably wisely surmise that like most everything that humans hold in their hands and place in the woods, they are probably weapons or traps of some kind.

It makes sense to avoid weapons and traps if you are smart enough to know to.

Did you know that its almost impossible to get Chimps on trail cams in Africa too?.

They avaoid them at all costs.

Now think about how much smarter and more nocturnal Bigfeet are.

Again, its simply logical when you think about it for more than a few seconds.

"So How Come They Disappear Right Before Peoples Eyes so Often During Encounters?".

Because they want to. 

How does a super sniper crawl up to 100 feet away from a platoon of soldiers without them knowing??.

With the camouflage, knowledge and training of how to do so.

Now imagine a creature who comes from a thousand generations of cautious, intelligent, and camouflaged masters of of the wild environment it lives in.

I think many people loudly stumbling through the woods just can't accept that they were out smarted by an intelligent being who is master of that environment.

"Show me the Remains".

OK, I want you to go out into your local wilderness, take a hike down a hiking path and grab up all the bear skulls you see lying around.

No? OK then, Go off trail and scoop up all those bear bones for me,No luck?.

Wow, But there are bears in your woods, even the DNR says so. How come your not finding any bear remains?. 

Well sorry I'm not able to produce the remains of a creature that is far more rare, far more intelligent and probably wouldn't leave their dead friends and family lying in the dirt to rot in the open.

This argument is one of the dumbest ever. Only people who know nothing about the forest make this argument.

"If They are Just Animals, Then Why Haven't We Captured Them and Put Them In Zoos?".

Because quite simply, we haven't had the ability to do so until modern times.

We couldn't capture Gorillas properly enough to put them in Zoos until the 1930's let alone a great ape almost as smart as humans with the strength of 10 men who is able to traverse a steep mountainside as fast as a deer. 

Yeah, good luck catching one alive.

But let's say now that we are advanced enough to do so in modern times. 

Why don't you see them in Zoos now?.

That answer is that same as the answer to the next common argument below.

"If they are Just Animals and Not Mythical, Magical, Spiritual, Alien, Trans-Dimesional Forest People. Then why Doesn't the Government Admit to them existing?".

The answer to this question should be the most obvious of all, it takes a tiny amount of logic to figure this one out.

Financial: Imagine if it was finally admitted to by Governments that these dangerous, giant, super predators existed in almost all forests of the USA and Canada (and many other 1st World Countries)???.

For starters every Green Peace, tree hugging hippy would riot and throw a hissy fit at every site of lumber companies, mining operations, new housing developments, oil rigs, fracking sites etc.

Think about the economical impact it would have to any economy dealing with such things.

Think about the pressure the leftist politicians would be under to stop all this by the same crowd who hangs their hat on the thoery of Global Warming. 

The Dollar would all but crash to third World levels overnight.

Human Nature: There are few things that a government fears more than armed citizens. 

Why do you think the most devious in government are trying so hard to outlaw guns?.

They fear them.

If the population can shoot back then its its very hard to take full tyrannical control someday.

Now imagine that everyone who steps foot in the wilderness will be doing so heavily armed (I know I do ever since my encounter).

The government would wet their pants if all the state and national parks were teaming with armed citizens, and if they banned such behavior.

NO ONE would set foot in the woods except the those who think Cryptids are magical, spiritual forest beings, and every time one of them got killed or disappeared the rest of the population would scream from the rooftops about how they need guns in the woods.

On top of all that, you would have a bazillion armed tactical larpers and hunters descend upon the wilderness trying to be the first one to bag a bigfoot, sounds a bit dangerous huh?.

Heavy caliber gun sales would go through the roof. 

Big bore handgun sales would skyrocket.

Keep in mind that even a lot of right wing politicians admit to a certain degree that they would like to see guns banned or severely restricted, they just push the issue too hard or they will loose their voting base.

This issue alone is enough to keep the government from admitting to the reality of cryptids in my opinion.

The government's war against guns would hit a VERY big snag.

Pandora's Box: If the Government was willing to lie about something as dangerous as cryptids. 

What else are they lieing about?.

Yeah, most of you reading this know that the Government lies about most everything BUT.

The 75% out there who still trust in most of what the government and MSM says would start to think twice about trusting them so much going forward.

The power of government would erode faster and faster.

I had a very close and very unpleasant encounter in December 2014, and the thing I had the displeasure of running into was an angry, creature that breathed like a sick walrus, smelled like feces, skunk, smelly feet, rotting garbage and growled at me like an unfriendly animal would, after which it snapped a limb off of a tree and thrashed around in the woods screaming just like an angry chimp.

Not a mythical, magical, spirit guide of the forest who came to enlighten my life (even though it did in many ways).

I'm pretty sure that Bigfeet are animals.

Chances are that they are very smart mammals just like we are. It's pretty obvious to me and I accept it.

I'm sorry to break it to those out there that think the forests are full of big hairy "Interdimensional Alien magical Spirit Guides of The woods", but most of the evidence points to the likely scenario that it's a theory that is actually as silly as it sounds.

Feel free to try and tear down my points and theories, I want to be wrong. 

I really want there to be mythical hairy spirit people who are gentle giants and friendly friends of the Forest.

I think that would be awesome.
