I'm an admitted skeptic or at best an agnostic.

I am still a Bigfoot fan, without necessarily being a believer.

I've mentioned before I had three "ghost encounters", that were all definitively explained.

No bigfoot encounters.

One "ufo" sighting that I can't explain (just s satellite looking, non blinking, no sound light, looked like a fair sized star, tracking across the night sky at a good clip, then took a very sharp 90 degree turn and moved away at a fast clip. Not sure what it was, don't think aliens, but it was kind of unusual.

Then, I think I shared my "chupacabra" story. In central Texas, I saw an animal running/loping/hoping things run at my car one night. While I don't believe in chupacabra, at all, I have no idea what that could have been. It was dark, it was at the edge of my headlights, and I got a few seconds of seeing it. Loose kangaroo maybe? That's my really "weird", wtf sighting.

But, recently, I had another unusual experience. I bought a place in the cascades a couple of years ago. I put up some motion sensor lights, and frequently they'd trigger. I got the point that I'd rush to the window to see if could catch what was triggering it. Nothing. Finally, one night I actually saw a bobcat that had obviously triggered the lights. But this didn't explain all the other times.

Once we had a good, rare summer rain storm and left the area muddy. Excellent, I'd be able to see the food prints. Had to be a coyote, maybe raccoons. Next morning, nothing.

So, this was a couple of weeks now, I now kept my rifle handy (and always wear a sidearm anyway, if I'm awake, it's on me). That night, sure enough, the lights triggered. I was ready and grabbed my rifle and immediately went outside, absolutely no time for anything to run away without me seeing what was doing this. I never even thought about a camera. But I did he a .300 blackout with my thermal scope on it.

Answer:

Could bats be tripping the sensor?
