So for some context, I moved into the flat, I am now living in back in may of this year.

I live alone in a one bed flat on a top floor with one way in and out. 

Things starting happening within the first couple of weeks of me moving in.

It would sound like there where footsteps coming up my stairs into my living room when there was no one there and they would stop when they reached to doors connecting my living room to my staircase.

After about a month of living in this flat we starting decorating walls and putting in some storage in the attic.

The following two weeks I would wake up with scratches and gashes in the mornings on my hands.

I cut my nails till i practically had none and it would still happen.

After we where done with the work everything settled back down and it went back to the odd bump in the night so to speak.

Recently I had a power cut and as Istood in my kitchen looking out onto the main road, I could see there was someone behind me in the glass.

But when I turned around, I found nothing.

A week ago I had woken up in the middle of the night, sat up in bed to the sound of what would have appeared to be someone running,

I jumped out of bed and ran out of my door in a panic.

I checked the rooms and of course found nothing.

That weekend I had a friend staying over, and when I woke up, I found them them gone.

They later told me they had woken up in the night, to the sound of someone walking from my bathroom, to my bed room.

They thought it was me till they saw me asleep and panicked, and left at 3 in the morning.

Another time, I was set at my desk and clear as day, I heard a knock on my door as if there was someone trying to get in.

Not an aggressive one, but a knock all the same.

(I keep the door closed to keep heat in my room).

Of course no one was at the other side of the door.

I have now taken to hanging my grandma's rosery beads on my door handle, to maybe stop anything from coming into my bedroom.

Any advice on anything more I can do would be nice, as I am concerned that the activity is picking back up again.

I am growing a bit worried and quite frankly scared.

Any suggestions appreciated thanks,
