What do y'all think: real or nah?

There is a little controversy over this one, and it's been called, and is kinda known as, the independent film that was mistaken for a real alien abduction. BUT the case isn't so black and white, and here's why:.

I originally found this video on YT in like 2009, but it had been around for probably 15 to 20 years by then.

This is the original footage, I've never been able to find this in any other format.

The footage featured on this Japanese show is the only version I can find.

Here's the thing: there is another version called The McPherson Tape.

It's very clearly a depiction with actors and scripts.

Especially when you compare it with this one.

As I recall, it was shot to tell the story of the actual McPherson Tape.

Possibly for a TV show, not positive.

But that depiction, with actors and props and stuff, that was never passed off as real.

I've never witnessed anyone make the claim that it was actual events ,recorded as they occurred.

I feel like the video is from probably 1995-ish.

For someone to have this kind of set, props, effects and make-up, there should've been some record of production.

This level of hoaxery is unprecedented, and I have a hard time believing this is an independent film.

Look at the greys, how many costumes and actors did they need, and those "masks" are incredibly life-like VASTLY superior to the ones you see in the so-called McPherson Tape.

These don't look like masks to me.

The wrap-around eyes are something that I've never seen done, or done well, on greys depicted in the media.

Oddly you also have the differing levels of quality which don't make sense.

There's that much effort and budget for the alien characters, but no budget for script?.

If it were a script, this is the worst script ever.

No exposition, no drama, no timing.

The characters are terrible, they're basically all extras.

No one contributes to the story in a significant way, it's very un-cinematic.

They spend that much on make-up and costumes, but there's no plot or resolution, or none of these actors ever did anything again?.

Shouldn't we find this in at least one persons IMDB page?.

Alf (1987) - make up, costumes.

The Cosby Show (1985) - costumes, make up.

The McPherson Tape (1993) - prop master.

Oh and I've never heard any actor, ever, sound that legitimately scared like a bitch.

You only make sounds like that when you're legitimately bitch-made scared, like in actual life & death panic situations.

What do y'all think?.

Is there any reality to the McPherson Family Abduction?.

What about this version specifically?.

PS - if anyone has a link to this video on its own (not being featured on this Japanese show), plz post link.
