There is no virtue in being an extreme UFO skeptic
Posted On: July 17, 2023

I have been following this topic since watching Strange Universe as a kid in the 90s.

As an adult I would periodically check in on the topic but otherwise just go about my life without ever thinking about it.

Since the 2017 NYT articles I was drawn back in and started lurking in this sub.

What I have noticed immediately was there were the diehard Mick West-adjacent skeptics and as well as the completely gullible group of woo woo believers, and I believe both sides can be counter-productive.

But let me focus on the skeptics for a moment.

The issue with extreme skeptics is that they are incredibly resistant to any new ideas or spitballing, as if every passing thought must come with a citation for it to matter.

Of course some of the ideas on this sub are insane, but let's not forget that the internet is the last bastion of freewheeling.

You can say things here you would not dream of in the workplaces or even among close friends.

Unfortunately over-moderation, frank censorship by social media giants and an increasingly vocal cabal of volunteer internet skeptics are making it more and more unusable.

Given the aggregate data consisting of some video and radar evidence, multiple testimonies and FOIA'd documents, it's perfectly reasonable to assume that there is something to this, and that this *something* appears to be acting like it is sentient.

It‘s perfectly reasonable to start with this premise and then try to obtain testable results in controlled settings.

Very often however the skeptics want to pigeonhole you into a Catch-22 by saying “well there‘s no proof and no experimental results therefore all of this could be bs, don't even try to speculate“.

I find this an extremely defensive and somewhat disingenuous position. It almost shows an unwillingness to learn or have your world-view challenged.

Anyway, I look forward to what else may be coming and I am eager to learn more about this phenomenon.

I think people are only doing themselves a disservice by thinking in certainties, for or against an NHI presence.

I know for a fact 100% there is or isn't an NHI presence.

I personally dont -know- if NHI is here,

I suspect there is, now. But I didn't always feel that way.

Ultimately, theyre doing themselves a disservice by believing they -know- there is or isnt.

If it all turns out being true, I wont be the one that will be in a state of shock.

I had time to prepare my mindset for a possible life-altering event.

Though I suppose for those who were abducted, they have all the proof they need.
